Indore: Over 62K Villagers In District Get Land Ownership Rights

Posted on January 18, 2025 By No Comments on Indore: Over 62K Villagers In District Get Land Ownership Rights

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): With a single click, about 62,000 villagers of the district got property rights in digital form on Saturday, under the Land Ownership Scheme, an initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Through a virtual programme, PM Modi digitally transferred property rights documents to the villagers of the district. Over 65 lakh villagers of more than 50,000 villages across the country received the property rights through a single click. This includes 61969 villagers from 213 villages of the district, who got the ownership rights of their land formally.

The flagship programme in the district was organised at Lata Mangeshkar Auditorium located in Rajendra Nagar area. Urban development and housing minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and water resources minister Tulsiram Silawat were present in the programme as guests.

Minister Silawat termed the scheme a revolutionary initiative. He said that this was an innovative scheme of PM Modi.

With this, the generations-old dream of the citizens living in rural areas to become the owners of their land was coming true. He expressed his gratitude to PM Modi, chief minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and the district administration for the effective implementation of the scheme.

It was informed that 61,969 villagers of 213 villages in the district received land rights under the land ownership scheme.

On the one hand, this would reduce property-related disputes and on the other hand, landowners would also get the benefits of various government schemes easily.

It would also be easy for them to take loans. MLA Madhu Verma, divisional commissioner Deepak Singh, collector Asheesh Singh and other public representatives were present apart from a large number of villagers. In the programme, ministers Vijayvargiya and Silawat also symbolically distributed the property rights documents to the villagers benefited under the ownership scheme.
