Guwahati: The Union Minister of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal interacted with the party workers at a meeting at Siliguri in North Bengal on Friday.
The senior BJP leader called upon the party karyakartas to create awareness about various policies and success of Modi government among people.
The Minister also expressed confidence that BJP would evidently form the next government in West Bengal, as he asked the party workers to keep working towards the cause of nation building under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to further the welfare and development of people and the nation.
Speaking on the occasion, Sarbananda Sonowal said, “With unity, progress, trust, and his untiring relentless effort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has initiated a new era of development in the country. Modi ji has envisioned a dream to make India self-reliant through ‘Made in India’ which is already becoming a reality. Thanks to Modi ji’s visionary outlook, the long-standing hopes and aspirations of the people of the country are gradually turning into reality. India, under Modi ji’s farsightedness, has already emerged as the fifth-largest economy in the world which is a matter of pride for every Indian. It is only a matter of time that BJP will form the government in the West Bengal soon and I am confident about it. You must keep working hard to make people aware about the various success stories and realisation that India has achieved in last nine years under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji.”
The Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal is on a two day visit to the North Bengal region starting from today. Sonowal is visiting and attending multiple events under the Darjeeling constituency to create awareness about various achievements of Nine years of Modi government and help people educate about the vision and goal of Modi government. Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited various parts of Darjeeling Lok Sabha constituency, meeting and interacting with the with the people, community organisations, and inspecting the various development initiatives being undertaken by the Central Government in our region. He also addressed the BJP organisational meeting, comprising of BJP District leaders and leaders and karyakartas of all BJP Morchas.
Sarbananda Sonowal further said, “BJP is a dedicated party to the holistic development and the cause of nation-building. World’s largest political party, BJP, has been working tirelessly for the welfare of the people and the nation. The strength of our organisation lies in the efforts of our workers. During this visit, the senior Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal also visited Balasan Bridge and reviewed the progress of construction. Sonowal termed the Kolkata to Siliguri highway as the new road of progress and prosperity for the people of the region.

Modi government ran the largest vaccination drive in the world, administrating over 220crore COVID vaccine doses in the shortest possible time. Inclusive politics through “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas” has resulted in improving the quality of life for all Indians.To ensure youth empowerment, over 700 medical colleges, 390 new Universities, 9 IITs, 9 IIMs, 15 new IIITs, 1000 Khelo India Centers and 9304 Jan Aushadhi Kendras have been established in the country in the past nine years.
