Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday slammed Congress and left regimes of Tripura for not doing any developmental works during their rule in the state.

Addressing a poll rally at Ambassa in Tripura, PM Modi said, “Both the regimes had failed to do any developmental work during their rule. The people of Tripura faced lots of problem due to the misrule of Congress and left government. The people failed to get government schemes but after the double engine government came to power the people of the state stated getting all benefits,”.

“Voting to Congrees and CPI-M will again return violence and fear in the state. In the last three decades, the violence and fear have totally crippled the state. We have end the violence and fear in our last five years rule in Tripura,” Modi stated.

“We have free Tripura from fear and violence. Earlier, Tripura was known for violence and backwardness but after we overthrone the left and formed government in the state, we have established law and order. During the left rule, collection of donations has badly riddled the state but we have changed this culture and brought a new hope for the people of the state,” Modi asserted.

“The BJP government has implemented the recommendations of the seventh pay Commission benefiting more than a lakh Tripura government employees,” he said.

PM Modi said, “We have started woman empowerment programme in the state. I am happy to announce one of our candidate is a young woman, who is contesting election from BJP ticket. The double engine government has stated developmental programme in the state. The ‘Sankalp Patra’ has mentioned all the developments which our party will be doing in the state after coming to power,”

“We have worked in the connectivity sector and connect Tripura to Northeast. In the last five years we have worked to develop the Highway, Internet, Railways and Airways(HIRA) in the state. To strengthen the connectivity sector, our government has been doing every possible measures,” Modi claimed.

PM Modi said, “Under various schemes, concrete housing, health services and livelihood being provided to the people of Tripura and three lakh people already have houses under the PM-Awas Yojana.
Over two lakh ailing people of Tripura got the benefits from the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Matri Jan Aarogya Yojana,”.

The BJP government at the Center has recently given a dental college to Tripura”.

Modi alleged that the people of Tripura suffered a lot in various ways under the misrule of Congress and Left government earlier.
