Guwahati: Union home minister Amit Shah on Monday came down heavily on Congress and CPI-M for not doing any developmental work in Tripura in last 50 years.
Addressing a Vijay Sankalp rally at Santribazar, Tripura, Amit Shah said, “We have completely end the ‘Cadre Raj’ in Tripura and set up ‘Constitution Raj’ in last five years under Biplab Kumar Deb and Manik Saha. Congress and CPI-M had done nothing for Tripura in last 50 years. They have neglected the state and their people but in our five years term, we have given many schemes for the development of the state,”.
“Congress, Communist and Tipra Motha are linked with each others and helping each other. If you want BJP to form government in Tripura, then you have to voted us in power again,” Shah asserted.
Shah further said, “We have settled the Bru refugee crisis in Tripura. Earlier, government didn’t take any necessary step to solve the insurgency and BRu refugee crisis but in our five years time, we have resolved the issues doing agreement with NLFT and settled 40,000 Bru refugees,”.
“Crime against woman has been decreased up to 50 per cent in Tripura in last five years. In health and education sector our government has taken lots of scheme in the state. Earlier, Tripura was known as violence and disturbed area but under the leadership of PM Modi peace was established in the state,” Shah said.
Shah further said, “Earlier sounds of bomb was heard in Tripura but now sounds of railway and Aeroplance was heard in the state. We are committed to work for the development of the state,”.
“In last five years, we have done lots of development works in Adivasi areas of Tripura and if you believe in us then in coming five years Tripura will be known as most developed state in Northeast. CPI-M knows very well that they cannot defeat BJP, so they made alliance with Congress. They also made secret alliance with Tipra Motha. ‘if you vote for Congress, then CPI-M will be benefitted and if you vote for Motha then also the Communists’ will be benefitted and again violence will return in Tripura. If you vote for us then only development will come up in Tripura,” Amit Shah asserted.
