According to insiders, the Congress is preparing to transfer MLAs from Himachal Pradesh to Rajasthan in order to thwart BJP attempts to poach them. The duty of moving MLAs to avoid “Operation Lotus” has been given to Bhupesh Baghel, the chief minister of Chhattisgarh, and senior politician Bhupinder Singh Hooda, sources stated.
The MLAs would probably travel to Rajasthan in buses. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the AICC, is personally keeping an eye on the issue and is scheduled to be in Shimla today, according to reports.
Today will show whether or not Himachal Pradesh’s voters defied the anti-incumbency trend and chose to elect the ruling party once again, something that has not happened since 1985. According to the “tradition” of Himachal Pradesh, the Congress should constitute the next administration.
Over 75% of the 55 lakh eligible voters in the state cast ballots in the election of the 68-member assembly and government on November 12. There are 412 candidates running for office in this election.
The Congress has been certain of its win, claiming that the voters will decide on the crucial concerns of price increases, unemployment, the outdated pension system, and other difficulties with life and livelihood that the state’s citizens have been experiencing.
