Guwahati: At least 15 persons were injured in a road accident at NH-37 in Assam’s Chabua area in Dibrugarh on Sunday morning.
According to sources, a bus going towards Tinsukia from Dibrugarh was hit by an another bus coming from behind.
The injured were rushed to Assam Medical College and Hospital for treatment.
“We have boarded in the bus from Amlopatty area in Dibrugarh and going to Tinsukia. Suddenly, a bus coming from the back side hit our bus. Most of the people who were in bus bore injuries. For a moment we thought that some blast has happened,” said a victim.
According to police, due to overspending the accident happened.
“We have seized the buses for further investigation. The accident occurred due to overspending and the driver become uncontrol and hit the bus,” said a police official.
