Guwahati: In a tragic incident, two people killed in a road accident in Assam’s Kamrup district on Saturday after a dumper hit a motorcycle.The deceased have been identified as Hakim Ali and Nazim Ali.
Sources said the after the accident an irate mob torched the dumper which created tension in that area.
According to police, the dumper hit the motorcycle at Rangia Tiniali as the duo was on their way to their workplace, killing them on the spot.
The locals people alleged that overspeeding of the dumper the accident took place which killed the two people.
“After the accident the driver and the handyman of the dumper manged to escape from the place. We have launched search operation to nab the culprits,” said a police official.
