Doomdooma: A minor was raped, mother commits sucide and the accused has been absconding since 32 days in Tinsukia district of upper Assam.
Samundra Ray Limbu, 58, allegedly raped a minor on March 20, this year and since then he was absconding.The mother of the victim committed suicide on 14 April and the police is still unable to trace the accused.
“The accused is still absconding. His family members have been sent to jail under the relevant sections of the law, the officer in charge of the Bordubi police station told Our India .
A case has number 39/23 has been registered under POCSO Act and all other relevant sections of law.
” Had the police reached in time, the accused were in jail. ” The family members and organizations alleged. The police allegedly reached in the village three days after the FIR was lodged .
ATTSA and many other organizations have demanded that the thirteen year old minor who is a class seven student must get justice.
The matter may be taken to the director general of police if justice delayed, they warned.
