GUWAHATI, DEC 24: The rare variety of Tea from Assam Manohari Gold Tea was sold for a world record price of Rs.1,15,000.00 only per Kg in a Tea Auction Portal by Tea Inntech on December 16,2022. The said Manohari Gold Tea was bought by R. K. Tea Sales for its client Cafe Nilofar, a premium Tea Lounge located at Banjara Hills, Hyderabad.
Manohari Gold Tea holds a series of world record for selling its Teas at the highest auction price of Rs.39,001/-, Rs. 50,000/- Rs. 75,000/- and Rs.99,999/- for four consecutive years i.e. 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021.
As per past practice this year also the sale proceeds is donated to the Chief Minister Relief Fund, Assam and handed over the cheque to Assam Chief Minister at Dibrugarh on Saturday.
