By Manoj Kumar Ojha

GUWAHATI :  Amid a massive fire incident on July 11 ; Tinsukia Fire & Emergency Services Station has launched fire safety awareness campaign.

Suruj Khanikar, RTC, Tinsukia F&ESS said, “A fire safety awareness campaign conducted by Tinsukia F&ESS at Daily Bazar Commercial Area on 12 July afternoon. Hundreds of people participated in the campaign,”.

“Fire preventive measures were discussed. They were requested to equip with Fire Extinguishers, Fire Detectors & other water based fire fighting systems in commercial areas,” Khanikar said.

It is remarkable that Tinsukia Town is a densely populated district located in the eastern most corner of the state. It is regarded as the commercial hub of upper Assam on which the neighboring Arunachal Pradesh is also dependent on certain conditions.

A fire was broken out at Adarsh Path,Raja Ali Road under Napukhuri police station due to  LPG Cylinder leakage .

Due to narrow road no fire tenders could reach the spot .However,  fire was controlled by using CAF Fire Extinguisher .

Tinsukia is 500 kilometers from the capital Guwahati.
