Guwahati: To commemorate the occasion of the 77th Independence Day, Hayuliang Battalion of Dao Division under spear Corps, conducted Hayuliang Premier Football League wef 05 to 15 August 2023 for the youths of Anjaw district at General Ground, Hayuliang in Arunachal Pradesh.
The Championship aimed at instilling the spirit of sportsmanship, team work and unstinted support towards the Indian Army and the Nation, comprised of four Pools with a total of 11 teams participating in the competition.
The winner team District Football Club was awarded with a cash prize of Rupees 20,000.00 followed by the Runner up team District Badminton Club with a cash prize of Rupees 10,000.00 alongwith Medals and the Hayuliang Premier League Trophy.
The event was witnessed and hugely appreciated by civil and military dignitaries and the local populace of Anjaw District. These types of events are part of series of initiative taken by the Indian Army to enhance civil military cooperation and liaison, which will go a long way in creating healthy environment between the government organisation and local diaspora.
