Guwahati: Top bollywood actor Arjun Rampal visited Menchuka in Shi Yomi district of Arunachal Pradesh set along the Indo-China border to attend the traditional Sonam Losar Festival.
Arjun who was accompanied by his wife Gabriella and son Eric was mesmerized on witnessing the natural and magnificent scenic beauty of Menchuka which has become a hit destination in Arunachal Pradesh for tourists, both national and international.
Interacting with the media, Arjun who said that he will be having five releases this year went upto the extent of saying that there should be a green film city in Arunachal Pradesh.
Sonam Losar is the festival celebrated by the Memba community of Arunachal Pradesh to mark the advent of the new year. Arunachal Pradesh home minister Bamang Felix and Arunachal assembly speaker and the local MLA Pasang Dorjee Sona were also present as special and distinguished guests on the occasion. Rituals were performed by the monks and lamas and traditional dances performance were displayed by various cultural troupes.
