Want To Wake Up Energised And Glowing? Here’s The Morning Ritual You Need

Posted on April 13, 2025 By No Comments on Want To Wake Up Energised And Glowing? Here’s The Morning Ritual You Need

We are blessed to have Mother Nature gifting us with abundance of fruits, vegetables, nuts and spices. Choosing the right food is important to keep the diseases at bay and for a healthy YOU.

The foods that we eat have a power to either heal or destroy our bodies. They have a capacity to keep our body sluggish or to boost our energy levels and jumpstart our system in the morning. Try these things in the morning.

Vitamin C

Start the morning with lemons. As they say when life gives you lemons, squeeze them, mix them with determination, and turn them into an extraordinary instant energy booster. This will keep the body alkaline, aid digestion, manage weight as it is loaded with vitamin C and antioxidants. It also keeps the skin fresh and rejuvenated.

Fruits and nuts

Fresh seasonal fruits like pomegranate, which are healing, have multiple health benefits. They are extremely low in calories, high in fibres and act as purifiers and cleanse our bodies. The sweetness of the fruits also helps with our sugar cravings. They are a great source of antioxidants and help to reduce the inflammation in the body. Pomegranates have anti-ageing properties which gives the skin the natural pink blush and works on cell regeneration. They are the powerhouse of vitamins, minerals and great immunity boosters which helps to increase vitality.

Nuts and seeds like dates or a combination of raisins and walnuts or sesame seeds with cranberries or apricot and almonds are other options that will give an instant energy boost. They are loaded with microminerals, nutrients and act as a fortifier and regulator in the body. They help to regulate hormones in the women especially suffering from PCOS/PCOD or Thyroid conditions.

Eating a handful of nuts and seeds in a day helps maintain healthy skin, hair, nail, and improve heart health. They are rich in healthy fats, promote satiety (the feeling of being full), and help lower diabetes risk, improve blood sugar and lipid levels. They are tiny foods, bubbling with ample benefits and providing all the essential beneficial nutrients.

These foods help you convalesce from diseases and add to vitality, repairing the damaged body tissues preventing further infection. They add to longevity and are good for cellular repair and regrow.

So, feed your body well, change your environment from junk to healthy, and choose the right food which heals and purifies the soul.

Exercise

Apart from food, morning is also the best time to exercise. Since Nature is charged with full energy, the environment is high on energy too. It is conducive to exercise at that time, which is as per our circadian rhythm. Physiological response to exercise in the morning is better. It is good because with sunrise the serotonin release in the body is high, energy is liberated and after the night’s sleep, repair and restoration of the body and conservation of energy happens.

Always start with warm-up — like walking, jogging, twisting, and sideward, forward, and backward bending for at least seven minutes.

Beginners can start core workout by lying on the floor; fold your legs with your knees facing upwards. Bring the knees back up to the chest with breathing focused on abdominal muscles; keep it tight and do up and down movements for at least a minute with two sets.

Raising is a good abdominal workout for your lower abs. Lie down on your back, raise both legs up and lift both the hands and try touching your toes. Doing this for a minute will work miracles.

Another good exercise options is squats. Squat down as if you were sitting back into a chair after standing with your feet shoulder-width apart, breathe as you go down and breathe out as you come up. Maintain a straight back and an erect chest. This works the core and legs. Do it for one minute. Then lunge (do this for a minute).

You can also do Surya Namaskar for 10 minutes to increase your energy levels. End with yoga poses and simple stretches like lunge stretch (for a minute — 30 seconds per leg), Cat-Cow Stretch ( for a minute), and Child’s Pose (for a minute).

So feed your body well, change your environment from junk to healthy, and choose the right way of life which heals and purifies the soul.
