Rajasthan Royals (RR) will take on Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad in match no 2 of the IPL 2025. The Royals, who were the inaugural IPL champions, will aim to start the season on a winning note against SRH, the team that defeated them in the second qualifier of IPL 2024.
Pat Cummins, who missed the recent ICC Champions Trophy due to an ankle injury, has arrived in India and will captain SRH for the new season. Rain is unlikely to spoil the SRH vs. RR match. According to weather.com, the wind speed is expected to be around 5-13 km/h during the match, while the temperature could hover around 22 degrees Celsius to 34 degrees Celsius. The humidity is predicted to be around 61-78 percent.

SRH enters IPL 2025 with a strong batting lineup, retaining opening pair Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma, while players like Heinrich Klaasen and Ishan Kishan will add depth to the middle order.
Rajasthan Royals have made an intriguing choice by appointing Riyan Parag as their captain for the first three matches of IPL 2025. In IPL 2024, they won eight out of their first nine games and were well on track to finish in the top two.
