Mumbai: In a major real estate transaction, the Mumbai Khadi & Village Industries Association has sold a 3.84-acre freehold land parcel in Borivali to Rishbraj Estate Developers Pvt Ltd for a whopping Rs 539.25 crore.
The deal was registered on March 30 this year. According to property registration documents accessed by CRE Matrix, a real estate data analytics firm, the Maharashtra state exchequer earned Rs 32.55 crore from this deal in stamp duty fees alone.
In another notable transaction, popular Bollywood playback singer Shantanu Mukherjee—better known as Shaan—and his wife Radhika Mukherjee have purchased a luxury bungalow property in Prabhachiwadi, Pune, for Rs 10 crore.
The purchase includes a plot of approximately 0.4 hectares and was registered in March, according to documents reviewed by Square Yards. The couple paid a stamp duty of Rs 50 lakh and a registration fee of Rs 30,000.
Shaan is renowned for his melodious voice and chart-topping songs from films like Kal Ho Naa Ho, Tanu Weds Manu, with a music career spanning over two decades.
