Mumbai: The decomposed body of a 69-year-old man was found near the Pratiksha Nagar Bus Depot in Sion on Tuesday. Around 11.30am a passerby noticed the body by the roadside and alerted the police.
According to the police, the deceased has been identified as Anant Ramchandra Akub Thin, a resident of Wadala TT, who lived with his brother. He was reportedly addicted to alcohol and was often found lying on the roadside in an intoxicated state.
Wadala TT Police have registered an Accidental Death Report and initiated further investigation.
The police revealed that Anant had been missing since February 18. His brother had been searching for him, but due to his habit of consuming alcohol and passing out on the streets, he remained untraceable until his body was discovered.
