Sanam Teri Kasam is one Bollywood film that will be remembered in the history of Indian cinema. The movie starring Harshvardhan Rane and Mawra Hocane was originally released in 2016 and it was a flop at the box office. But, this year, on February 7, the makers re-released it, and it became a super hit. Sanam Teri Kasam during its re-release has collected more than Rs. 32 crore which is the highest a Hindi film has collected during its re-release.
Before Sanam Teri Kasam was re-released, the makers had announced a sequel to the film. While it was only revealed that Harshvardhan will be getting back to the franchise, the lead actress’ name was not officially announced. Now, there have been reports that Shraddha Kapoor might be starring Sanam Teri Kasam 2.
Recently, in an interaction with Nayandeep Rakshit, when Mawra was asked about the reports of Shraddha being considered for Sanam Teri Kasam 2, the actress said, “I cannot tell you how much I like Shraddha Kapoor. If she will do Sanam Teri Kasam 2 then the film will become a blockbuster in first attempt. So, I will be very happy if she is a part of the franchise and I will be so proud to be a part of a franchise with her.”

When Mawra was asked about doing Sanam Teri Kasam 2, she said that there were discussion but she doesn’t want to talk about it. However, it depends on the situation if she will be able to do the film or not. But, she said that even if she is not a part of the sequel, she would want the film to do well.
Co-incidently, Mawra got married on February 5, 2025, and Sanam Teri Kasam re-released on February 7, 2025. The team of the film has been stating that the re-release was a gift to her.
