All India Association of Central Excise Gazetted Executive Officers, (AIACEGEO),Vadodara Unit has organised a felicitation ceremony on 26.02.2023 at Vadodara to felicitate the newly promoted 39- Officers in grade of Assistant Commissioners.On invitation,Smt. Ranjanben Bhatt, Hon’ble Member of Parliament of India graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour and felicitated the officers by presenting Mementoes to them.
The All India President of the Association, Shri M. Loganathan paid gratitude on behalf of GST Officers of Vadodara to Hon’ble Member of Parliament, for her graceful presence.He also welcomed newly promoted superintendents on this occasion.
Shri M Loganathan while wishing good luck to the newly promoted Officers also expressed his concern on the over-delayed promotions of Superintendents of the Central GST, who are appointed as the Inspector and get only one promotion to the rank of Superintendent in their entire career of service spanning around 35 years in comparison to Inspectors in Income Tax getting five to six promotions in their entire career upto the post of Commissioner. This despite the fact that Officers of both the department are selected through the same examination conducted by SSC.
Expressing however optimism he said that the present Government & Central Board of Indirect Taxes &Customs, likely to hear their grievances for expeditious action on promotional avenues.
