Bhubaneswar Blues: Travelers Deceived by Unfinished, Unsafe Hotel Vaishno Aerocity

Posted on January 25, 2024 By No Comments on Bhubaneswar Blues: Travelers Deceived by Unfinished, Unsafe Hotel Vaishno Aerocity

Booking.com doesn’t even take pains to check the hotel before listing on portal.

Nestled amidst the bustling city of Bhubaneswar, Odisha, lies Hotel Vaishno Airocity, a supposed haven for weary travelers. However, behind the glossy online facade lurks a tale of deception, negligence, and broken promises. Travelers flocking to the city, enticed by booking portals, are finding themselves ensnared in a nightmare instead of a relaxing stay.

The first blow comes on arrival. The majestic structure promised online stands unfinished, a stark contrast to the polished photographs. Completion certificates? Non-existent. Fire safety norms? A blatant disregard. What greets guests is a construction site masquerading as a hotel, a ticking time bomb waiting to happen.

When called the owner Chiman Jain , who is also a realtor and runs Prakruti Constructions Pvt Ltd, he was rude and said “Do what ever you want”.

Stepping inside, the promised hospitality evaporates like morning mist. Rooms lack basic amenities, the promised feast replaced by empty cupboards and silent kitchens. No food, no tea, no room service – just bare walls and echoing hallways. The frustration mounts as calls for assistance go unanswered, leaving guests stranded in a desolate shell.

But the most egregious offense lies not in the lack of comfort, but in the blatant disregard for safety. With incomplete construction and questionable adherence to fire regulations, Hotel Vaishno Airocity is a ticking time bomb for disaster. The thought of navigating smoke-filled corridors amidst falling debris sends shivers down the spines of even the most seasoned traveler.

The question that begs to be asked is how such a blatant violation of safety and hospitality standards continues unchecked. How do booking portals, whose very existence hinges on trust, continue to list this unfinished, unsafe establishment? Have greed and profit blinded them to the plight of their customers?

The answer, unfortunately, is complex. A web of loopholes and lax regulations allows such establishments to operate with impunity. The onus of safety often falls on individual travelers, burdened with the responsibility of vetting hotels beyond the glossy pictures and enticing descriptions.

However, the buck cannot stop there. Booking portals have a moral and ethical obligation to ensure the safety and well-being of their customers. They must implement stricter vetting procedures, prioritizing safety and transparency over lucrative commissions.

For now, travelers to Bhubaneswar are advised to steer clear of Hotel Vaishno Airocity. Its unfinished facade and disregard for safety paint a clear picture – a nightmare waiting to happen. Let this be a cautionary tale, a reminder to travelers to exercise vigilance and to demand better from the hospitality industry. Until then, the shadows of deception and negligence will continue to loom over unsuspecting guests, casting a dark shadow on the vibrant city of Bhubaneswar.

This article serves as a call to action. It is a rallying cry for stricter regulations, ethical booking practices, and responsible travel choices. Together, we can ensure that travelers find solace, not scams, amidst their journeys.
