A politician, academic, analyst, academician, administrator, manager, and member of public life from Gujarat, India, Narayan Vyas was born on April 14, 1947. He served as the department’s chief under the Bharatiya Janata Party’s leadership in Gujarat from 2007 to 2012 as a former cabinet minister. He holds a degree in law as well as undergraduate and graduate degrees in civil engineering from the Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, respectively. He also has a postgraduate degree in marketing management.

In the 2017 Gujarat legislative assembly election, Chandaji Thakor of the INC defeated him once more in Siddhpur.
In November 2022, he left the BJP.
Together with his son Sameer Vyas, Jay Narayan Vyas, who left the BJP earlier this month, joined the Congress party on Monday.
The 75-year-old Vyas left the BJP earlier this month. Additionally, he recently got to know Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and former Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Vyas wrote in his letter of resignation to state party chief CR Patil, “I have been actively serving the BJP for the last three decades in accordance with the party’s principles. I’m leaving the celebration today for personal reasons.
He was appointed the Cabinet minister in responsibility of health and family welfare in the Gujarat administration led by chief minister Narendra Modi in 2007, after defeating Balvantsinh Rajput of the Congress to win election to the Gujarat Legislative Assembly.
There have been talks with Vyas, according to an AAP official who wished to remain unnamed, and they are hopeful that he will join their party.
